Dear Officers of the Los Santos Police Department,
We are hereby to present the Internal Affairs' inbox for officer's usage. Internal Affairs investigates all complaints lodged against police personnel and conduct internal investigations involving police personnel, as well as, other sensitive investigations. These complaints can range from verbal abuse to brutality. Majority of these complaints falls under three categories: Personal Conduct, Use of Force and Arrest, and Duty Performance. The Internal Affairs also investigates any complaints regarding possible criminal misconduct against employees. These investigations include accusations against officers, city employees from various departments, and other administrative investigations.
Personal Conduct
Anything that relates to the officer's behaviour being irregular (via corruption of the sort)
Use of Force and Arrest
Anything that relates to the officer's use of force and arrest to be determined as excessive and abusive.
Duty Performance
Anything that relates to an officer's inability to perform properly on duty that may resolve in immediate danger and conflict towards other employees or endangering the community in any way (via an officer potentially endangering an officer's or civilian's life form through discharging a firearm or misuse of any other duty equipment issued on duty).
All complaints sent directly to Internal Affairs will be confidential and will be reviewed by our professional and highly experienced inspectors. Please note that Internal Affairs will be involving their activity in a particular complaint if the department deems the specific complaint to be Internal-Affairs material. We recommend sending minor incidents to your local Commanding Supervisor. Do not hesitate on sending Internal Affairs whether your issue could be a minor or could be a major incident - we will handle it accordingly either way. We will respond back to the officer in complaint whether or not the issue is considered as an Internal Affair-type of issue if the sending officer is unsure if the type of complaint is whether or not for Internal Affairs to investigate on.
On behalf of Internal Affairs,
Brett Kingsley
Director of Internal Affairs
Los Santos Police Department
