STEP 2 - DEPARTMENT INTERVIEW
Stage 2, the Department Interview, is split into two parts - the in-game part and the Teamspeak part, though they are still both interviews. This provides a chance to shine and prove to the Recruitment Officer your individuality and roleplay skills, as well as demonstrate your character's personality for the in-game section. This stage is to ensure that you meet the minimum roleplay requirements and are able to be involved in character development which is a must if you wish to become a Police Officer, as well as to assess your speaking English ability and test you on the spot rather than on paper.
Information on how to complete this step is given privately.
STEP 3 - POLICE ACADEMY
The Los Santos Police Department Police Academy is the next big leap once you have successfully passed both application, as well as interview stages 1 and 2. From here, the Training Division takes over from the Recruitment Division and will do for the rest of the process, and the applicant is now considered an Academy Student. The Police Academy consists of extensive theory and practical education on policy, procedures and law in the City and in the Department to ensure that the student is fully prepared for duty if they pass their examination.
STEP 4 - POLICE ACADEMY EXAMINATION
Once you have completed the police academy, you will then be required to complete the Police Academy Examination. The examination is a written test and you will be required to retain all knowledge learnt throughout the academy in order to pass. You will be asked a variety of questions in order to fully evaluate your ability and potential as an officer in the Los Santos Police Department. These range from closed, protocol-based questions to theoretical scenarios where you will be asked to explain your reaction. Once completed, the exams are marked by instructors within the Training Division and, if successful, you will then be able to attend the Departmental Induction.
Information on how to complete this step is given privately.
GRADUATE STAGE
STEP 5 - DEPARTMENTAL INDUCTION
The final stage in the Los Santos Police Department recruitment process is the Departmental Induction. The induction is a private ceremony available to all academy students who achieve a passing grade or higher on the police academy examination. At the ceremony you will be sworn into the department by Chief of Police Michael Houston and, in turn, you will receive your full service equipment along with your badge and uniform. There will also be a series of demonstrations, for example a radio tutorial, on the day to ensure that all students are prepared to carry out their duties on the streets of Los Santos.
